Job Description
The Network Engineer role involves implementing and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, Cisco products, load balancers, MPLS, VPN, and ACI products. The engineer supports L1 and L2 teams during outages, coordinates with vendors, and ensures high-quality network performance. Responsibilities include deploying and managing firewalls, testing new network setups, planning project timelines, maintaining security documentation, and managing cloud networking solutions in AWS and Azure to ensure seamless integration with on-premise networks.
Job Requirements
Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols and technologies.
Experience with network infrastructure hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Knowledge of network security practices and firewall management.
Ability to support and coordinate with different IT teams and vendors.
Familiarity with ITSM tools for incident, change, and asset management.
Experience with cloud networking, specifically AWS and Azure.
Good planning and project management skills.
Ability to research and propose network changes and solutions.
Capability to maintain network security documentation and technical drawings.
