Summer intern - commercial banking
- Good salary - People are friendly.
- Many unnecessary meetings until 7 or 8pm most days. - The programme is loosely structure and us interns didn't get to participate in or observe real projects but mainly performed data entry. - Payroll takes forever to receive. - Lots of overtime working.
Head teller
Varied opportunities to learn.and great work-life balance
Retail business Sold to Axis bank in India
Financial management associate
- Joined a cohort of 15-20 post-MBA associate VPs - Worked out of NY hq - 3 rotations providing exposure to different functions - Exposure to senior folks
- Program management can be better - Sometimes teams focus too much on adhoc tasks - International rotations was once a thing but seemed like it wasn’t going to happen again
Talent acquisition
-Decent salary. -EMEA scope which is more interesting than being Belfast dedicated. -Good benefits.
-No career progression in Talent Acquisition. You need to leave or move teams to progress. -Some business orgs are really toxic, so if you are aligned to them, you have to deal with that. -Pitiful payrises and tiny bonus compared to competitors. -Was a remote org and now hybrid. -Somewhat absent leadership. No clear strategy.
