They didnt covert anyone internship to full time offer

working for a German supplier used to mean being rather safe from layoffs. Even when layoffs used to be necessary, they were long in the planning, corporate was very transparent about business and needed changes impacting employees. This has changed in 2024. Conti has adapted to be no different from other companies in the industry.

Bad management No work life balance

Unstable work situation where you can be changed from one project to another on very short notice - eg I was told in the morning to start working on the new project and drop everything on the previous one (I had a shorter lunch break to do some handover of the work I was doing and did some support unofficially to help my colleagues) Currently laying off people, not the best time to join. Internal promotions go to people joining the project, not the people in the project (don't take it personally and/or don't let it go to your head). The best trick is to have a great performance and already having someone that can take your place when the new project comes so that you can jump to the new project. Very bad communication between departments in some cases - knowing the right people helps but it's not enough

You cannot get so much support from HQs but the target. However, that's why you can grow because you have to bring outcome, even without support/technology/quality/budget.

This used to be very different. - In some parts of the organization (esp. in the so-called "best-cost-countries", BCC), engineers are moved between teams by management like pawns on a chess field. "Project is on fire? Let's pour in these BCC engineers!". - Incredible complex architecture of products in the business area of Autonomous Mobility (AM). I have the impression that constantly components, interfaces etc are added, but never reduced or simplified. Same applies to project setups, tooling and development environment. They often say that AM is a complex business - yes, might be true, but what I see exceeds that complexity.
