Pros

-Fully empowered to achieve the goals set. If you have an idea, you're expected to come up with a plan to execute, and they will provide the resources (assuming the idea makes sense). -It's okay to make mistakes, everything is a learning process. Being a startup, there are a lot of challenges but at the same time, as long as you're not making the same mistake over and over, everyone's very supportive. -People I worked with were some of the most intelligent guys (and gals) I've ever worked with. There is NO way you're not gonna learn from each other. It helped that we were pretty much in the same age range, so it was easy to jive with the team. -Org structure is pretty flat. You work with the CEO and COO pretty much on a daily basis, they're very approachable and give great advice. Was lucky to be able to learn from them first-hand. -If you do good work, you will be recognized for it.

Cons

-Some birthing pains for sure, since it was a startup. Nothing game breaking though. -Writing this as a con, though some people will see this as a pro. The work can be taxing at times, as even though you aren't tied down by a 9-5 work schedule, I was pretty much on call for most of the week (this may vary depending on the position). This is typically how startup works, you hustle, you grind, you learn, you grow. But be prepared to have dinner with family but still have work on your mind, it becomes a HUGE part of your daily life and there are times that that can be an issue (miss out with family at times, get home late or get called on during a holiday etc.) -Needs to build more on the culture side. We were expanding massively during my time there, so there wasn't really room for anything but focusing on our core service - this is totally understandable. There were definitely efforts during the latter part of my stay to establish this, hope it continued when I left. -Not a lot in the way of benefits. Definitely could use some medical benefits for its employees.
