I unfortunately cannot recommend Sime Darby Motors based on my experience there. My time with the company was marked by a series of frustrating and disheartening issues, primarily stemming from poor management practices. The management team exhibited a troubling level of mistrust and manipulation, creating a work environment where employees felt constantly scrutinized and undervalued. Micromanagement was the norm, with every action closely monitored and often criticized. Positive contributions were rarely acknowledged, while even minor mistakes were met with disproportionate reactions. This lack of balance led to a highly stressful atmosphere where any error felt like a major catastrophe. The overall work ethic of the management team was questionable, with frequent misjudgments and a lack of support for their staff. This made it incredibly challenging to maintain motivation and job satisfaction. The lack of constructive feedback and recognition for accomplishments left me feeling demoralized and unsupported, leading to a work environment that was emotionally draining. The last few months of my tenure were particularly difficult, to the point where I found myself in tears frequently. This is not an environment conducive to professional growth or personal well-being. In summary, if you are considering employment with Sime Darby, be prepared for a challenging environment with a management style that may not foster a positive or productive workplace.
