Toxic Management, Politic-heavy, Reactive Promotion
A good place to work with flexibilities, and complementing benefits. Learning opportunities are abundant and good people around.
Trying to move away from traditional methods of business, but in that way is a good ground for experimenting new digital ideas.
Good and stable company with good union
Not much work life balance
are able to learn things, friendly people
too many things to handle
One of the old institutions of news papers in Malaysia, it comes with the stability in terms of decent pay and perks, steady increments, and surety of on time payment and year-end bonuses. Depending on the team you're in, work can be enjoyable, and as many staff stay on for quite a while it does give a family, long term friend vibe.
Being long standing also makes it old fashioned in parts, from work culture and aspects of admin interactions. The static upper management also makes it harder for new hires to push up to the upper ranks and can curb career progression beyond one's initial role. The industry is also shrinking rapidly, so expect things to get worse as more cost cutting is introduced.
work time flexible enough daily
salary is to low for the effort
Flexibility in working hours.
No clear direction from management
Yearly increment. Good staff benefit.
Newspaper industry is a tough industry with introduction to social media
Team build by expert lead by expert

Provides opportunity for development in journalism field.
Regressive rather than progressive work culture.
