Most of the bosses are flexible and understanding, at least in my section in content department. Unsure about others.
Cost cutting being done more and more. Not hiring staff who have left. While bosses are nice, sometimes their intelligence can be questioned. Very frustrating at times

It's still the platform for newcomers to have a good start in the media industry with excellent exposure.
Poor leadership and management with no vision or mission that is truly on the ground. Just a lot of rhetorics from leaders. And it is still being made used of as a media channel to air its political party's owners through politically appointed top leadership who do not know a thing about media. There is so much potential yet The Star is being ruined by people benefitting most from it.

- medical benefit is not great - management busy playing with politics in promoting their own people instead of having good merit - performance review is a way to bully some people by management giving them 0% marks when it's not their money to give. in short, power hungry. - sexual harrasment by senior male staffs - very chinaman thinking: if you're not in the office at 9am, it means you're lazy and not working.
