Often workload is unmanageable and change can be staggered

Pay is a bit low especially living in a city where you have to pay for parking £10+ per day as no parking on site. which deters me from going in office People are brought in at higher level (2) because they may have 6 months of experience in insurance. I feel like people should come in at level 1 and progress to 2 after probation as some ‘experienced’ handlers are not very knowledgable or not great at managing case load/calls.

High workload, Noisy, Frustrating working conditions

A bit hectic at times, and tasks are written poorly for a new employee :D

- being a corporate, things are moving very slowly, tech is old, change is tidious - salaries are low looking at Europe but probably good for Spain

- Workload - no clear communication

very bureaucratic, no innovation, aging and out-of-touch management, salaries and benefits are kept on the lower side of the market average.

They track your every move and expect you to work like a robot.. also sacked a lot of people after making actual robots to do a bunch of tasks

Salary Grading/Banding can be confusing and allow your earnings to stagnate, more transparency in bandings (with their real life weighting) would help you understand pay vs peers.

If you like your workplaces rife with office politics, micro-management and cliques then Zurich is the company for you! Career progression is almost non-existent (unless your face fits!) and good work is only acknowledged if senior management have left enough room for you in the allotted annual bonus scheme. This is an organisation that cares more for preaching about how much it cares for employee wellbeing than actually doing so. Ticking boxes and meeting quotas are priorities, while managing demanding workloads and stress levels come in a distant second. The endlessly recycled corporate messaging is one of tolerance and the aim of fostering an honest, open workspace, but the reality is anything but. Potential future employees will need to know how to play the corporate game to have any hope of career progression.

All jobs are given to collegues, you can't achieve anything if you don't make friends with the right people.

Things can take a long time to get processed and some bad old management around some teams.

Communication between departments is a struggle. Many systems make the process more complicated than necessary. Some managers lack the skills or tools to support their teams. Seemed to be a slight divide from managers and employees. Focus on those that don't sit at the "cool table." These people are just as talented and eager to learn more. Big, matrix organization. Not many opportunities to influence "up" the chain. No room for growth. Need to train managers into better leaders and communicators. Very bad management in some departments - No feedback from management Depressive working environment.
