Not many social gatherings with work group

Too much meetings so you need to prioritise well your time.

Some leadership team in the function has low turnover and has been there for very long, which can be roadblock in trying to implement any real change.

Old management that only look after themselves and efficiency, without valuing their team members. Absolutely no empowerment and gratification. Felt uncomfortable in the company after one week Workload is messy and innovation to improve are swept out by management

Working from home can be isolating at times

Not much. Quite good to be honest

Salary and bonus could be higher at Zurich. The work can become mundane after a while.

Salaries are lower than market average.

Get caught up with issues of trying to be a law firm working for an insurance company at times

stressful with peak seasons and so on

The company exited from GCC (the personal lines) which affected many jobs

No particular cons from my experience

Very toxic environment with employees not having seen much diversity. Hence if you are not native to the UK you get treated atrociously. Exit interview was the funniest farce I’ve seen. The person interviewing was not even from HR. He was essentially reporting into the person who was the reason I quit. I’m sure the report went directly into the bin. The person who was the reason for me quit had a meeting me on my last day, to threaten me that I’m xx years old hence time is running out for my career. Could not believe the ageism. But very glad I got out.

I arrived when the company was changing operational systems (A lengthy process), which i only found out after starting the role.

No oportunities to develop and managers not qualified

Poor communication from senior management. Lack of training and development.

Any at the the moment.

The regional offices outside their two big bases in London and South East are left alone to their own devices. Poor management and even poorer pay. Real problems are often plastered over by a shiny new office. Generation gap often leaves people feeling lonely. Can feel cold and unwelcoming.
