The Apprentice - Culinary role involves preparing ingredients for cooking, such as portioning, chopping, and storing food, as well as washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables. The position includes following recipes and quality standards to prepare and cook food, operating various kitchen appliances, monitoring food quality, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment. It also requires maintaining professional communication and teamwork while supporting the kitchen operations and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 1 year of related work experience.
No supervisory experience.
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, bending, twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Capability to operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
Knowledge of food preparation, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area.
Skills in clear and professional communication.
Willingness to support team goals and maintain positive workplace relationships.
Adherence to company safety, security policies, and training requirements.
