General Accountant (Thai Market) – Accenture Malaysia

The General Accountant for the Thai Market is responsible for supporting financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating smooth financial reporting processes within the organization.

In this position, you will engage in daily accounting tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal voucher postings, while collaborating with regional and global finance teams. You will also be involved in managing tax compliance and supporting statutory audits to ensure adherence to financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support balance sheet reconciliation preparation and review.
• Issue and post journal vouchers for various adjustments.
• Monitor outstanding reconciling items and follow up as necessary.
• Control accrual accounts and review fixed asset transactions for GAAP differences.
• Prepare and reconcile tax data for government submission.
• Handle monthly and quarterly closings for US GAAP financial statements.
• Prepare financial reports for regional and global finance teams.
• Assist in statutory audits and manage supporting documentation.
• Manage day-to-day operations including tax compliance and internal control.
• Support the implementation of new accounting standards and finance transformation initiatives.
