Role Summary

The Intern, Payroll is responsible for supporting the HR and Payroll team in managing day-to-day operations. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in a corporate HR environment while assisting with various payroll and leave administration tasks.

Job Description

As a Payroll & Leave Intern, you will engage in daily activities that involve payroll processing, tracking employee leave balances, and maintaining accurate records within HR systems. You will also assist with statutory filings and respond to employee queries, contributing to the overall efficiency of the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely disbursement of salaries.
  • Track and maintain employee leave balances accurately.
  • Support the HR team in maintaining accurate records within HR systems.
  • Help with statutory filings and compliance requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and leave matters.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by the HR team.

Job Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic office software.

Basic understanding of payroll processes and leave administration is preferred.

Strong numerical accuracy and high attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
