The Junior Sous Chef supports menu development, maintains equipment, ensures exceptional customer service, and contributes to achieving culinary and budget goals.
High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area, or a 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 1 year of experience.
Ability to manage day-to-day pastry operations and lead a team.
Knowledge of food preparation, handling, storage standards, and sanitation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate team members.
Ability to assist in menu development and create decorative food displays.
Capability to monitor food quality and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Skills in managing customer service and handling guest complaints.
Ability to support culinary goals including performance, budget, and team objectives.
Willingness to attend meetings, provide information, and analyze problems to propose solutions.
