The manager demonstrates knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations and develops business plans for the food and beverage department. The position involves leading a team, managing budgets, providing excellent customer service, and conducting human resource activities to foster a positive, motivated work environment.
High school diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related field or 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of relevant experience.
Ability to develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans.
Proficiency in managing food and beverage departments and day-to-day operations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate a team.
Knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations.
Customer service skills to respond proactively to guest and employee concerns.
Ability to set clear expectations and provide coaching, counseling, and training to team members.
Capability to conduct performance reviews and promote fair treatment and open communication.
Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze information to make decisions.
Effective communication skills to drive departmental and property-wide communication and information flow.
