Job Description

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for supervising daily restaurant operations including restaurants, bars, and room service if applicable. The role includes assisting with menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards, supporting servers and hosts during peak periods, and striving to improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. The manager is expected to lead and develop the food and beverage team, ensure compliance with all policies and regulations, and provide exceptional customer service and leadership. This position also involves managing human resource activities such as performance monitoring and training, handling guest feedback and complaints, overseeing financial aspects of the department, and assisting in operational duties during high demand times. The manager plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment and maintaining service excellence consistent with the brand's standards.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related areas, or a 2-year degree in a related field with 2 years of experience.

Ability to supervise and manage employees and daily operations.

Knowledge of service and sanitation standards in restaurant and beverage areas.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and encourage others.

Capacity to develop and coach team members and maintain productivity.

Understanding of food & beverage policies, laws, and sanitation requirements.

Capability to provide excellent customer service and handle guest problems.

Leadership skills to inspire and maintain a positive work environment.

Experience in managing human resources including training, performance standards, and employee retention.

Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and oversee financial aspects such as purchasing and expense management.
