
The Commis Chef will support food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety standards while developing skills in a fast-paced environment.
As a Commis Chef at KAYSTEAKLOBSTER SDN BHD, you will assist in various food preparation tasks including washing, peeling, cutting, and basic cooking. You will prepare mise en place, store ingredients according to FIFO standards, and maintain a clean and organized workstation. Additionally, you will support senior kitchen staff with plating and garnishing, monitor stock levels, and ensure food safety protocols are followed to prevent cross-contamination. Participation in opening and closing duties, along with learning kitchen SOPs and safety procedures, is also essential.
Minimum SPM / vocational culinary training preferred.
Entry-level candidates welcome; prior kitchen experience is an advantage.
Willingness to learn and grow in kitchen operations.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
