Job Description

The Director of Human Resources at Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel is a key member of the property's executive committee, reporting directly to the General Manager and functionally to the Regional Senior Director of Human Resources. This role is responsible for contributing significant human resource expertise to manage talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, and employee development in alignment with property and brand strategies. The position requires developing and executing HR initiatives and strategies that support the business objectives and overseeing the effective use of HR technology and coaching of staff.

Job Requirements

A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major with 4 years of experience in human resources or related fields, OR a 4-year bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major with 2 years of related professional experience.

Ability to manage human resources strategies including employee engagement, talent management, succession planning, human capital review, and workforce planning.

Experience in staffing and recruitment processes including selection, interviewing, and staffing strategy development.

Knowledge of employee compensation strategies, including total compensation planning, internal and external equity analysis, and implementation of recognition and incentive programs.

Skills in managing staff development activities and providing employee relations support.

Capability to lead change management initiatives and collaborate with property executives and owners.

Supervisory experience of on-property and market-based human resources personnel.
