The HR Services Operations (Payroll) Specialist (Japanese Speaking) is responsible for managing and leading payroll operations within a regional or global HR shared services model. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with payroll, tax, and labor regulations while facilitating collaboration across local and global teams.

In this role, you will oversee the daily payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various teams to enhance payroll processes and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll operations within a shared services model.
• Ensure compliance with local labor, tax, and social insurance laws.
• Supervise external payroll vendors and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Handle payroll process auditing, reconciliation, and approvals.
• Manage escalations and complex employee payroll inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Legal, HRBPs, and IT.
• Support internal and external audits related to payroll.
• Maintain and improve payroll policies, procedures, and controls according to global and local standards.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in payroll or HR operations.
• Participate in system enhancements, automation projects, and HRIS/payroll system implementation or upgrades.
