Role Summary

The HR Services Operations (Payroll) Specialist (Korean Speaking) is responsible for managing and leading payroll operations within a regional or global HR shared services model. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with payroll, tax, and labor regulations while facilitating collaboration across local and global teams.

Job Description

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a dynamic work environment. You will collaborate with various teams to address payroll inquiries and enhance payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee monthly payroll, bonuses, year-end adjustments, and statutory contributions.
  • Coordinate with external payroll vendors to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Conduct payroll auditing, reconciliation, and approvals.
  • Handle escalations and complex employee payroll inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, HR Business Partners, and IT.
  • Support internal and external payroll audits by providing required documentation.
  • Maintain and improve payroll policies, procedures, and controls according to global standards and local requirements.

Job Requirements

Fluency in Korean and English.

Expertise in payroll operations and compliance with labor, tax, and social insurance laws.

Experience coordinating with external payroll vendors.

Ability to mentor and guide junior team members in payroll or HR operations.

Competence in payroll system enhancements and automation projects.
